If it is "sensors" then you should have some fault codes? Rick

Not always, had maf sensors go bad on a couple of terrano's over the years and never put the eml on or stored a code.
I've done the diagnostics on the transmission and the engine and I've got no faults logged on either.
I'm going to do a full transmission fluid flush using the internal pump on the box rather than a couple of changes over a few weeks.
I just hope i can pour the fluid in as fast as the pump can spit it out:nenau

Just a quick update on the issues iv'e been having with the terrano when cold.
Did a full ATF flush yesterday and made no difference whatsoever to the stalling when put into R or D when engine is cold.
Did the diagonostic self test on the autobox as per the manual and it's showing no faults.
Same with the main ECU,code 55 which is no faults stored.
Canged the fuel filter and coolant temp sensor as i had them to hand and fitted a brand new maf sensor all to no avail.
I have'nt fitted the modded audi crank sensor yet but didn't see the point if no fault codes are logged.
so what's next???
Injector pump,injectors??

For my two penerth it is unlikely to be the pump, if it was worn it would exhibit lower torque at hot idle rather than cold, it would be worth pulling the injectors as they could be gummed up when cold but easing when hot, but in my experience if you take them to injector people they will condemn them anyway as it is not worth their time to test and not repair, if you want to send them to me I can test them for you for the cost of postage, Rick

Thanks for the offer Rick:thumb2
I have a spare set of good injectors that i can swap if needed.
I'm leaning towards another electrical gremlin in the system.

You could try a good dose of injector cleaner as about the only thing it can shift is gum, nothing dissolves carbon, Rick

I put a full bottle in when i did the filter last week.
I always fill the new filter up with it when putting a new one in.

Not sure that is such a good idea, I do not use the stuff myself but would not think that neat is very good, surely it is designed to be mixed with a certain amount of fuel in order to do its job properly, Rick

Either way it's made no difference:doh
