I just re-read my post, to make things clear I didn't make mine but it can be done.

Struggling to find a 76mm/3" snorkle top

Loads of 2.5" landy ones, might have to get one of those and reduce it, doubt that will harm performance

just need a top lol, not necessarily a pre cleaner ...

Found a 76mm safari type one now

:lol:lol:lol:lol HOW MUCH :lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol
You could go ON a safari for that :lol:lol:lol:lol

i'd just use 63mm (2") piping

My whole snorkel cost me about £60, If I went for cheaper flexible tube it would have been about £45.

Ok, so I gots some bits to play with :D

Cheap crap Chinese enclosed filter. Took apart and siliconed top and bottom, then put back together. will also put some decent waterproof gaffer tape around top and bottom joints on airbox, so its 100% water proof just in case i get fully submerged (not likely lol)

got an adapter for the maf housing, its from ebay off a nissan primera, so i can bolt up the airbox and go straight trough and out both wings, inner and outer. will angle the airbox slightly upwards, so as i come out further up the wing as its a narrower part of the vehicle. alloy pipe is polished and very light/thin, will look pretty decent imo, and being 3" its fooking large :p also got a safari angled top that goes on a 3" pipe.

Just need a 85-90mm hole cutter now and I'm on my way

Looks like you been robbing bits of someones Dyson hover to me.

Come on then, bolt it on i wana see what it looks like.

A job of this quality cannot be rushed ...

Besides I'm waiting for my hole cutter to come ;)

if you run it down the wing it's bound to be knocked a few times.

Also the join area from wing to pillar will be interesting, Theres some odd angles and twists needed.

If it gets knocked, then it gets knocked lol. I doubt it would harm it, besides elbow is 12 quid aly tube is 15 quid

The wheel arch cover sticks out past the pipe anyhow

Ok started it just, got galvanized bracket on A pillar, might add another but due to its size and hose clamps etc I think it will be sturdy enough:

Drilled and inserted rivnut:

And pipe will fit something like this, obviously it will be cut to length and have a proper safari top on it :

Looking good, i think you will be ok with one bracket if you plan on securing the bottom of the pipe to the wing somehow.

Just watch out for low strong branches.
