Hi all,
Maybe a dumb question, but are the rear springs on a LWB T2 longer than a SWB T2?

I've seen a post that suggests they are also some retailers make a differentiation between SWB and LWB for spring lift kits.

Just reading the many posts on lifts and wondered if using LWD springs on my SWB will give me a 2" lift on the back?

using lwb springs will give you about 1.5" lift on the back

:thumb2 Thanks, do you know if the LWB spring rating is about the same firmness (i.e. not noticeably firmer/softer)?

Also, if in the future i wanted a bit more lift, could i then use dislocation cones for an extra 15mm or so without any other mods (i don't really want issues/mods caused by going higher). I realise the front limit is 2" for CV issues.

Thanks.

Scrub that - just re read the cone thread and it a 40mm lift not 15:doh

Just thinking a bit more - are the LWD shocks also longer than the SWB shocks?

i.e. getting a 1.5" lift plus the drop.

Would doing this make the rear end much stiffer (i.e. less weight at the back than the LWB).

Shocks are the same, Think LWB springs on a SWB make a stiffer ride.

LWB springs on a SWB give about 1.5" lift as said, the spring rate is higher due to the LWB having a heavier arse:lol but for a road going truck this can be a plus as it helps stops extra body roll on the road

There is no other way to lift the front once torsion is maxed? :nenau

You take the shafts out & turn them around a few splines & start adjusting up again think there is a down load on it
