Had a call from the previous owner, who gave me some terrano floor mats and a rear black bull bar / light guard nudge bar.

When the car is at idle speed its around the 500 rpm mark? is this about right or does it need a good service?

Right just got some new batteries for the 2nd fob, just tried to code it, ans it worked.

But!

When i code a fob only that one works? so which ever one i code only that one works and the others dont?

I have followed the work shop manual where u can repeat steps 4 to 7 for additional fobs but still the same outcome, only the fob coded works?

I had same problem when i did my fobs. It's either that you have to press the buttons really quickly or you turn ignition key really quickly. Sorry my memory fails me on exactly what it was but try again doing the above. If you've got one working it proves you must be doing something right.

as for the fobs, after you programme the 1st one the dash flashes once to say its correct, when i do the 2nd one nothing happens, when i switch the ign to on that ends the process?

Fair one should of thought of thet...

Do you know the name or type of socket?

The socket is called an XLR 3 pin.
The type of plug you need is an NC3FC, Neutrik 3 pin FEMALE XLR.

Commonly used in audio applications, pro audio etc for signal and low voltage.
You will find female line connectors (plugs) at maplin, rs, audio shops etc, don't pay more than £3.50 tho or you're being ripped off.
