At last i picked it up this morning, Half a tank of fuel, leaned out, 2 fromt seat covers, boot tray 6 months tax and 11 months MOT! 113800k on the clock.

Few quirks though:

1st gear is a bit tough but he said its been like that from day 1.

Steering stops need replacing, can i get them from millners? what grease should i slap on?

Drive gear leaver is up side down the knob?

Here some pics:

Straight on the road!

Boot tray!

Cheers Terranosaurus ! fits like a gloce although the boot seems a little small?

Looks nice:thumb2

Any old grease should be fine for the steering stops, I've never bothered replacing the steering stops just slap a bit more grease on every once in a while.

Does any one have a spare or where i could get one?

Also the window switch has a loose wire, which sometimes has a mind of its own? does anyone know the thread for removing the door card?

Cup holder

The bottom is missing:(

Again any one know a fix or have a spare? would one from another vehicle fit?

Green arrow indicator?

It does not light up when i indicate or switch on the hazards?
Also its not a switch? any ideas?

Ramdom socket?

Do any of you guys know what it is? what its used for? what rating it is?
I have seen a very very similar one on our seaboats used for powering portable signal lamps / search lamps.

That cupholder doesn't have a bottom and is pretty lame really:(

That LED light in the switch blank is probably to tell you your trailer indicaters are working, this isn't standard fit.

I would say your guess is quite right about the power socket, probably get plugs from Maplin.co.uk. The LED light may have something to do with it perhaps.

Cheers jim!

I'm going to keep a weeks diary on how i get on with the beast, MPG etc as i have a course in pompy next week so it will be 180 there at night nice and quiet and 180 back in traffic and heat!

Any help and tips would be great concerning the inital stuff.

green light could be for trailer, some have lights some buzzers,

door pocket. keep an eye out for some one breaking one
socek could be for CB, ot Ham radio unit. if you can see where the wires go to.

Jimmy92 was breaking a couple of T2's may be he'll have a door card?

One way to check that socket if it has power to it is a multi meter or a lightbulb with two wires soldered on to it. Connect one wire or probe from the meter to a clean bit of metal on the body work such as a bolt or door check strap. then test each terminal of the socket until you get a reading on your meter or the bulb lights up, you may have to do this with ignition on and off.

Fair one should of thought of thet...

Do you know the name or type of socket?

Looks like a 3 pin XLR. Often used in audio stuff for balanced microphone and similar leads. Probably just a power output in this application. Have you got a test meter? Have a look to see if any of the pins are live with and without the ignition on and wether any are just straight to earth.
