Sump guard

I want to make a sump guard at work for my Patrol and Ive looked at loads of 4x4 sites but they don't seem to have one or a picture of one for me to see what shape and roughly what size. I will take some measurements and make one and see what it is like or have any of you guys know where I could get them from ?.

ive got gouges in trasfer casing on mine lol

Yes I had a look and there were no marks but i thought i might as well make one as i work in a fab shop and better safe than sorry. Did you have any gouges in it after the weekend Nick ?.

Not really gouges just scrapes really. Oh and a dented exhaust box. And of course the step brackets bent. All good though, the fun out weighed the minor damage

no problems NNMan, i looked on the tbr sitejace and did a print out of it and if you can get the lenth and width and a few of the hole dimentions ile get it done, the one for mine should be similar.

yes i will get a mate of mine in the drawing office to scale it up to the size you give me, but you will have to check the picture on the tbr site is correct with your mates cos it might be a pictue that is used for all the 4x4s on it. I wiil leave it with you i am off to bed now.

Some fool must have removed it as its extremely heavy. My old patrol was and still is protected by standard bolt on bars with plates welded in.

Take a look in the scrap yards first or on e bay.

Unforunatley, as far as I'm aware no one makes them as after market bits for this reason although you can buy snorkels and the like.

yeagh thinkin about it my ol 3.2 had guards but theyd kindve de laminated and gone realy rusty
