Could be bump stops since it on full lock (most likey) just grease em or like out surf the exhaust was hitting off the prob although only in reverse for some strange reason & didn't matter which way either (sorted now, shifted bracket) chicking may be drop links as suggested they tend to elongate the blooming hole, big washer sorts it.

It was the steering stops :thumb2 also had a front arb broken too. 9 quid fixed that :thumb2
