A couple of weeks ago my clutch lost its fluid.I traced the leak to the large diameter steel pipe going to the back axle.I was unable to discover the use of this pipe,so I disconnected it and screwed in a 12 mm bolt wrapped in PTFE tape.I have had no problems so far(2 weeks).

its the clutch damper pipe.
totay useless if you ask me as it just rots.
you have done exactly what i did:thumbs
it was supposed to reduce clutch noise or something:nenaui always thought it was to make the pedal lighter.

Yep, the old mysterious clutch pipe problem. The Terrano equivalent of getting your appendix out - No-one quite knows what it does, but you'll probably end up getting it removed at some point! :D
