Clutch damper pipe very interesting

I assumed the noise was the release bearing as it only made the noise when I pushed the clutch pedal and got louder when the revs got higher

if its stopped now then its the damper doing its job:thumb2
don't have this problem now as I run an auto.
 
I think that with the pipe in place you have some air in it which is compressing so giving a shorter release bearing travel, and quite possibly giving a cushion to the slave cyl so removing just enough pressure to stop the clutch slipping, just thoughts as not had hands on, Rick

Not really, I just like to have a logical reason for everything, the metal pipe does not expand and the fluid does not compress so what this pipe does is a Nissan mystery, Rick

I agree but it's worked for me so I'm a happy bunny, :D
 
Get ya self a flaring tool and some 10 mm copper pipe :thumb2
