has the code cleared? if so, what codes are apparent now?

I still think its the ckp matey, sorry!! its just myself AND Jim went through this already, try second hand ones etc etc and nothing worked untill we fitted a brand new one.

Does it cut out when engine is warm? If so, its the ckp-the hotter it gets, the poorer it works if its old. So car will start yay, and run while its cold yay, but let ya down on your way home boo.

The thing is that the injector is reading open circuit and on the cd manual it says it should read 105 ohms so i think its a fault lift injector still. open circuit on the old one and open circuit on the new one. checked component as per instructions CE 420.

The injector indeed must read some resistance, as it is just a coil of wire around the pintle, which induces a small voltage as the needle lifts.

So I shall be sending the injector back on Monday. But before I do could someone please stick a multimeter across there lift sensor just so I can sleep to night as this has sent me mental. I know you can get faulty goods but when your that excited about having a truck that runs smoothly it a bit of a barstuard.

sorry mate only just got in from todays proceedings, didnt get chance to check my injector. Id be surprised if the sensor is faulty, could it be the wire back to ecu?? or maybe the plug itself (not the one on the injector)?

After a run, what codes are you reading now?

No codes and the injector is unpluged so realy cannot rely on the codes. But I'm am pretty sure it's a faulty injector as open circuit but just need someone to check there's so I don't look dick when I send it back. The Reading of 105 ohms should be across injector not ecu side of the plug.

Got mine from the SS in S'ton too and no probs:augie
Bloody codes...................
Not going out to check it now though !

Your going to have to excuse me with the post cock ups as ive had a couple of bottles of wine on I'm typing on an iPod touch which ain't easy when your sober LOL. I don't think it's the wires back to the ecu as when I connect the multimeter to that side Of the circuit the tick over can be heard to change even go as far to say that the knock goes.
