Hi all

I'm toying with the idea of manufacturing my own steering system for my 160 Troll (due to it being near impossible to get parts any more).
But I thought that maybe before I started swinging an angle grinder around like an axe murder :D I thought I would see if I could fit the later Y60 steering onto it.
So if anybody could take some pictures of the underside of there Patrol so I could see how it is plumbed to the vehicle I would be very grateful.
Cheers

Brilliant thanks.
Well all the ball joints are gone, theres a bar from the steering box to the pivot point bar, there's a bar from the piviot to the track rod bar, then both track rods. Every single one is FUBARed.

Is it a proper "workshop manual" or a "Haynes book of lies"?
I have the Haynes book of lies but it's gineric for the ford maverick aswell so it's about as much help as a chocolate teapot.

Those bars you speak of are all easily modded or made better :D Back in a bit :thumb2

Yea? I'm open to sugestions, because I'm thinking of cutting off the ball joints so I can use replacement ball joints or heavy duty rose joints, instead of having to buy whole new bars.

Does this help any ?

Well that looks like a very simple set up in comparison to mine it would be perfect fit if the tie rod from one hub to the other was on the front.
But the pics are a big help anyway thank you.

Brilliant manual thanks. it doesn't cover my engine but for everything else it looks perfect :D
