A CTek will not recognise your battery if there is less than approx 2.5 volts......put a meter across it first to check voltage.

Tyna told me to connect a charged battery to the duff one, fit the CTek, leave it for 1 hour, then disconnect the good battery.

The CTek then continues to charge the duff one.

I'm just trying to ease my mind that replacing the battery has solved my problem really.

Start ok this morning??

She's been right as ninepence today, thanks for asking.

I turned off the cab and loadspace lights yesterday and unplugged the dashcam. This morning I turned the cab light back on, tomorrow the dashcam, etc., just to see if these are causing any drains.

Hoping it was just the battery on the fritz and the cold shock knocked it. Only time will tell.

Yeh I reckon probably just battery, four years isn't too bad, I reckon you will get longer out of the banner tho.

Charging when very flat e.g.below 2.5 volts

On the Aldi version of the C-Tek type charger it states in the instructions that they will charge a completely flat battery !

Not tried mine yet though to see if it's actually true.
