Are you sure you are looking at the right thing? When you put your reg in it should take you to a page that lists all the oils for your truck, and under the title Limited Slip Differential it shows this: LS80W-90 GL-5....if it doesn't then theres something weird about your truck in whatever database (DVLA I suspect) they are looking at?

I've just tried the site and it said LSD oil for mine :thumb2

Me too....!

Plank you plank....I've sussed out what you've done you Xmas turkey you....you clicked on Differential instead of Limited Slip Differential.

1/10 - Must try harder.

ATTENTION MODS...as this is a sticky, can someone delete my duplicate Post No25 please? Tks!

I saw Plank's school report the other day,

It said, " Plank sets himself very low standards... AND Fails to achieve them" :lol :lol :lol

Sorry I only know 5 jokes and this was the last one.. :lol :lol
Thank god I hear you say..

Anyway the site says standard diff oil for mine  ( Front Diff ) :thumb2.

And LSD for rear....:thumb2
LSD oil in rear diff, doesn´t kick out on wet roads now.

it does, if you are a little happy with the throttle on tight bends and roundabouts it will as it engauges the clutch and both wheels turn

this actually shows your lsd is working correctly

if you are light on the throttle it wont do it :thumbs

The Ford 'Death Wish' Maverick Update

So I got the Mav up on axle stands and had a good look around.

Brake shoes, drums and cylinders all ok.
Comp valve jammed, Will be replaced. (Lucky me, Brake line heaven:()
Cleaned the mud of Rear tyres are indeed Avon Rangers and cracking so there for the chop, Was thinking General Grabber AT2 ????
Previous owner mentioned LSD diff oil had been changed, but I think I'll do it again.

Will keep you posted! Unless death occurs!

No mate, I've tried again and it recommends the ep80w-90 for differential and front differential, i have tried another t2 reg, a 2005 model and it recommends the LS oil? weird. But aren't there two different types of LS Diff used in T2's and maybe one doesn't requires LS oil?

PM SENT!

theres a sticker on my diff saying limited slip oil only the hardbody had an elctric switch for diff lock!

Tyre choice

I've short listed my tyre choice down to two, General Grabber UHP or AT2 and I'm leaning towards the AT2

Anyone have an opinion (that was a daft question)

I also took my Mav to a quiet ind est to see if I could lose the back end again but was good as gold!

well Planky is right, his reg does give a list that doesn't include an LSD, just refers to diffs and front diff. So I've reported him to the DVLA for running dodgy plates :lol:lol:lol

But the link was really more about finding out where your local supplier was than anything else, cos some people say they can't find Comma in the shops.

You're right there was a later diff used - I can never remember what it was from, but Terranosaurus did say it was something like the L200 or maybe a Navara?? Its the one with a bolt-on backplate and a smaller oil volume, but I thought it was still the clutch-pack type, so still needed proper LSD oil....

certainly when you do the search by vehicle type it does spec an LSD and the correct oil....so suggest people just use that.

pfht, you're not trying hard enough boyo :D

Great for donuts too :naughty
