Now that my T2 lives permanently in Spain, I have been looking at ways of altering my speedo to read kph instead of mph. The obvious way is to change the speedo assembly complete with one from a Spanish breakers, but this could open up a can of worms - what will I disturb in taking out the old speedo, is the gearing the same on a kph speedo, can I be arsed - not really!

Unless someone can convince me it is a simple process to change the speedo head (if I can get one, the Spanish authorities are a bit funny about fitting second-hand parts), I have decided to fit an overlay.

I have found on eBay, item number 300593079974, which is a sheet or sheets of overlay stickers in various diameters to convert from mph to kph and vice versa (Mistral owners?)

Once I have fitted these I will report back on what I think of them.

I replaced my Mistral dial face last week with a new dial face off ebay for mistral/terrano2 it reads in mph and kph and it fit perfect. Take a look here as they are less than a tenner http://bit.ly/qj0Xmw

Seems a good way to do it, problem being I need to change the other way i.e. mph to kph (you don't by any chance have the kph ones you removed do you?)

Further to my thread above, does any member who has converted their speedo face from kph to mph still have the old kph face lying around, if so I would be willing to buy it from you (assuming it will fit my 1994 T2)
