Can anyone tell me what it actually controls?

Logic would have told me it was for the wipers but it doesn't seem to make them go any faster or slower :S

Is it broke or is it for something else?

Cheers

i think its just there to make us think we have an added extra :lol

Intermittant wipe, when on the first position of the wiper switch.

That's what mine does on my 2.7 td GLX, maybe on lesser models this facility isn't available, and maybe this is a replacement switch taken from a GLX :nenau

On intermittent wipe, first position down, it changes the sweep cycle from about once every two second on the shortest, out to about once every 8 seconds on the longest setting. So useful in this foggy weather we have at the moment.

I don't get the fog meaning, our Honda has a mist setting but it makes no sense:doh

My old Peugeot 406 (V Reg) had rain sensors that really were the business. The wipers used to speed up if it rained harder, or even if a lorry was spraying up a lot of water on the motorway.

I wish my T2 had them, but the speed dial is for the intermittent setting on mine too.

Regards

Alan

When driving in Fog and Mist, the water vapour in the air condenses on the screen and it is amazing how much it builds up with out you seeing it. In heavy fog, you nearly need the windscreen on continually, but not quite, It is nice to not have to worry about the wipers juddering across the screen when you are trying to concentrate on seeing through the fog.

That Peugeot sensor wipe is superb, about the only bit on a Peugeot that is, but I was so impressed with that when I used to drive the company cars. I drove another car that had it, a Ford I think, but it was no where as good as the Peugeot one, and would stay wiping when the screen was dry.
