spare keys

how difficult / expensive is it to get a spare key made for a 2005/5 T2?

I have been offered a nice LWB today but it only has one key, and i like to keep a spare, thanks

got mine done at my local 'Timpsons' (shoe repair place) for about £30ish I think...that is a normal key with coded transponder, obviously bloody alarm goes off when unlocking etc but thats how it is when using a key.. works a treat as a spare... mind you if you can get one for £15 then no contest :clap:clap

i got 2 spare keys for mine , £7.50 for both ..... great yarmouth market , and included a free key ring :naughty ...... oh how i love the pre '96 :augie

as a get you by you can get one cut almost anywhere that will get you into the car but will not start the motor, I find this useful when I leave the car with the key in the ignition as I usually do but two jacks in the car windows down for air but not enough for unlocking easy, problem is when they see another dog or someone they do not like go past, in their mad scramble to try and attack they have more than once hit the lock so I cannot get back in, spare key in back pocket saves the day, Rick

i got a spare for the hardbody no pip function chipped for £15 if i wanted the unlock pips £45 "im not tight,just carefull lol" you could always get loads cheap ones and tape the chipped one inside the ignitin cowling to sort nats out.

Had mine done by a local lad who is part of a national franchise - £60 and everything works perfectly.I will find the details and send you a pm.
