Hi again,

As you all seem to have them new-fangled 4x4s with electric this and electric that, I thought I'd show you what passes for a modern Nissan in these parts, but I can't seem to add more than one image like all you clever clogs can. I'll have to do it by adding lots of replies:

This one is in use on the public highway:

And this too is in constant use, even though the driver's door doesn't shut!:

This one is the local painters and decorators' main form of transport:

This one has been sitting in the local mechanic's car park for ages. This is what tends to happen - he has to rescue one from the highway and then the owner doesn't have the money or the inclination to have it repaired so it sits in a sort of car cemetery.......

Thanks for those Max, the clever clogs are not so clever, they just upload to photobucket and add a linky, Rick

Good to see Madrid get a look in amongst all those Alicantinos, ;)

I'll bagsy the painters and decorators wagon with the Panama hat Doug!:thumb2
But looking at that bumper, they've gotta remember to put the bloody lids on before they go home for siesta...

Thanks for the pics Max!

Hi guys. @Tyrannosurus Doug - they are like gold dust nowadays. I wanted to buy one to do up for my daughter and couldn't find one under 2,500€. The locals just won't sell them.

If you want to, I'll add more photos as I see the cars on the road. There are loads of them! It is a bit of an obsession of mine. You can see mine on my album page.

Regards

Max

P.S. There is actually a superb factory codition LWB in the town - I'll try and get some photos.

Great Pics !

Love the old motors when I went to Majorca I saw a blue BMW Meshersmitt that was parked in Alcudia that was being used daily !

Over here it would fetch a small fortune as they have gained cult and value status in the classic car market.

@Don Simon - they are from all over - mine is a GI (Girona) plate - (never been there). They were manufactured in Barcelona under licence (like the Landy :flush: Santana which was made in Madrid). I prefer my Patrol any day.

Shy Patrols

Very interesting - over the Easter period all of the Patrols disappeared from the village like they all had an attack of shyness. Holidays are the times when family come to stay from Alicante, Barcelona etc. in their Mercs and BMWs so the Patrol owners put their trusty old friends out of sight! Anyway, here are some photos of one in the local workshop - it will be up for sale when finished.
