no mate, i meant the wheel spacers:doh

doohhhh! sorry got wrong end of stick lol! i just typed in wheel spacers and used the filters to get used ones, normally a couple of sets on everyweek that are pre loved, new you are looking at approx £150 to £200 !!

stinka, my opinion is that with the wings filled (like yours and bakers) they look soo much better, i estimate its halved my 0 to 60 time too :augie :D:D:D

50 squid for spacers aint gonna cover the cost of having your tyres swapped over and balanced at most tyre shops tbh, like i said, i like my alloys, they suit my needs and my truck, tho i could be tempted to some anthracite modulars when i can afford them :augie :lol

My rims were £20 all in, had to drive to Warwick tho but not too bad

eBay spelling mistake, short auction, polish lad with no feed back. Lucky really didn't know the offset or anything

yeah, i did do some trawling for offset rims, there were some nice weller style ones a few weeks ago, its all about droppin lucky! ive just been made redundant but start a new job in 2 weeks so i am hoping for a couple of bits for the truck(after the kids have there way...). 2" body lift(if me oldies can get in?), anthracite modulars, snorkel, bfg's, bull bars, etc etc, or a discovery 3?

Disco 3 !? Independent suspension all round, I'd rather have a pathfinder mate

good point well made! they do seem quite nice!
while we are on, another 4x4 site quotes that 31's fit later terry's due to different bumper shapes? is there any truth in this? also, with my spacers fitted will i get away with all terrain 235 75 16's now? cheers.

This is how mine sit 31" tyres no spacers would of liked a bit more width but plans have now gone to pot

But what offset are those rims, because that track is about spot-on. Any more and it would be a MOT failure, as tread must be inside wheel arch extensions.

Think I had 0 offset on mine, think the standard terrano rims are +20 offset (in towards vehicle). So by having 0 offset it was 20mm more wider each side compared to standard.

Also tyre tread not covered showing is not a mot failure.

Oh OK, I was just quoting what I was told by some of the wheel and tyre stands at Donington 4X4 show this year.

Just done some searching and it is yet another "GREY" area. Has anyone a link to official law for this? I like to know everything is spot-on for when/if I am pulled over by Bill.

My standard NISSAN rims are +25mm offset.

I think you need to be about minus -25mm offset rims for a nice wide legal stance. But then it depends on what tyre width size you fit. Also a lot of tyres are complete different to their quoted sizes.

I can see why a lot of people just stick with the standard 235/70 16 AT's or MT's...

my alloys, on original pics, are +25 et. i put on 50 mm spacers which make them -25mm. i have 235 70's. the rim must be therefore -25?

its not an mot failure to have wider tyres than the arches, its a legal requirement. mot's are road safety, law is an ass!

No need to run such spacing unless your on 35s +.

Tyres not covered I believe is an offence but not a mot fail.

35s you say :D that's me :sly
Legality wise the tread must be covered, not the wall of the tyre. BUT watch out on M/Ts as technically the tread runs down the wall of the tyre too :doh
I know, I've been to court with plod :(

im just waiting for the day i get stopped, luckily they are not as bad as down your way pete. My tread sticks out about 5-10mm. Only other method is to fit 6.5" arches (4.5" on now). Which will make the damn truck look stupid and cost me alot more :(
