hello this is a reorganised run around the south area of the peak district on very easy lanes will give folk chance to learn what there trucks are about ready for some more fun later in the year

new date is sunday the 15 april

these are easy lanes just allow u to ride ur truck off the normal road and get a feel

start is CARSINGTON WATER VISITORS CENTRE 1000 for a 1030 set off (time for questions and say hello)

lanes in order if map read correct

LONGROSE FARM LANE
BALLIDON QUARRY LANE
MINNINGLOW LANE
ROYSTONE GRANGE
ROCKHURST FARM
CARDLEMERE LANE
GREEN LANE TOWARD PIKEHALL (not on map)

dinner stop at hartington railway part of tissington trail toilets but cafe is unperdictable if open best pack snap and flask
will be good stop as have little one to feed as do possibly others (is a pay and display but as stopping with trucks we got away last time without paying)

HIGHFIELD LANE
REYNARDS LANE
STADEN BARN
GREEN LANE AS ON MAP OFF A515 I THINK
?CLOUGH LANE from darley bridge this will be a maybe on time and how folks feel

if folks feel these are to tame as we go round we can always change to some more interesting lanes no real chance of damage but would need more careful driving and 4wd

the purpose is to introduce new folk not for the older ones to bounce around off road

equipment advised
tow rope/ strap (damar on ebay do good straps at 5-7 ton)
coats
good footwear (concider boots if been wet and think of footwell might need a rubber mat)
food and drink
sunglasses as can sometimes be dazzling stopping u see lane
mobile with numbers for gruop (will send mine closer date)
maps of lower peak district white or dark cant remember which or printed pages from computer

thinks to concider if going regular but not needed on this day
cb radio be safer and easier to communicate
http://www.4x4cb.com/public/menu.cfm these do good packages and indvidual items would recomend springer 5ft arial for off roading takes the knocks off trees
ALL TERRAIN tyres or MUD TERRAIN personnal choice as will lower mpg by 1-2 mpg and if u use alot on tarmac cause more wear and noise

any more info needed feel free to pm me

right april around the corner time to start confirming the arrangements for this event

all is still on and arrangments are the same as below, just need folk to confirm that they still comming and hopfully should get my phone back up and running soon and can post a number for any last min probs

anyone wanting to know the route is on os explorer OL24 but dont worry about rushing out to buy one as we will be leading group but just incase u wanted to follow on map

both white peak ol24 and dark peak OL1 would be useful if going out on regular trips

You shouldent need any tools. the lanes we doing that day are very tame!:augie.
A bit like driving across the grass at a car boot sale to be honest, then if people like it we can do some other lanes that are a bit more, er, tricky, on another day.
just make sure you have a spare wheel as the walkers like to put nails in puddles to mess our day up, not found any myself but have been warned about it happening.:thumbs
