Hmmm I'm confused by the biting point comment 'cause that does relate to clutch area probs:nenau

Either that, or she swapped from driving in pumps to high heals, and the heal is getting under the peddle stopping it going all the way down.:lol:lol

It's really an automatic, and the peddle you were pressing was just the enlarged brake peddle with your other foot?

The plastic bush that the pin sits in that links the pedal to the rod had disintegrated ?

Man: This is the 4th time this year i have had to change the clutch.

Woman: Dont look at me, i dont use it.

Carpet had slipped up under the pedal

I did this earlier this year, had no power overtaking on long uphill stretches on the motorway, with a large caravan on the back. I pulled the mat from under the 'go' pedal and hey presto! normal service resumed :augie

My V70 used to do that, and being an Auto, you lost kickdown. The first time it did it, was with the van on the back on the way to Pembrokeshire, and it meant I was having to hand change the auto box down on the long hills at the end of the M4 into Wales. Having said that, was one of the most economical trips with the van on the back I have ever done:lol

i can race in 5" heel never mind drive in them & never had my heel stuck under peddle. :thumb2

wasn't carpet either nor the bush on pedal

finally got my truck back to full health! but the problem was not caused by:

the gearbox
the clutch
the pressure plate
slave cylinder
flexi pipe
thrust bearing
clutch fork
pedal bush
pedal spring
master cylinder or
dampner pipe

take a guess at what the problem was & i'll reveal in 24 hrs :thumbs:augie

OK so it is 23.15 more than 24 hours, what the f was it?
