I have lost all track of the variouse meets planed, but due to the cost of fuel and other commitments I dout I will make any of them. I would love to come even if it was just to show off!

I may even cancel the anual family visit this year. But im going to wales fishing for a week, and thats for defo!

Oh aye, diesel is £1.36 now

I simpythys completely,Diesel has topped £131.9 here even though its 7p cheaper in Edinburgh, luckily i have my pedal bike for work!!
So i can save for the meets!! 8O

i see your point the cost of diesel, and the projected increases are enough to put anyone off making any plans! lets hope it doesnt impact the national rally!

we are off to Appleby Horse Fair next week and that may be the last long distance trip we make this summer

Most of the family miles are done in the wife's Picasso 1.6 HDI, 50 mpg minimum and thats at a constant 70-75 mph. and round town/urban it can return 55-60 mpg And 0-60 it is pretty nifty too.
It can burn off most family cars, they don't expect a Picasso to shift...
And you can carry the same volume as the LWB Mav, ideal for those UNI runs. It has traction control as well, goes well in the snow and ice.
The Mav is just used as a second car now, daily for work, and towing the boat ocasionally. With only 83 k on the clock and I've have it from new, stored in a warm integral garage, it is just about run in now...
I'll keep it for a few more years, I love driving the Mav. Cheapest car I've owned. Especially now I do all the servicing.

connel just outside of oban is a nice wee site, right on the waters edge, cracking views and handy for touring.

The Falls of Lora and the Connel bridge are a nice sight to see, but much more fun to have a play in, in a wee boat! up loch Etive is beutiful too.

Lots of wee lochs although i am disapionted in myself to say I havent fished many of them!
