I have been saying for years we are at war from within .....and we are just letting them take over......we are no longer free.... the war began long ago....

We are all doomed...:(:(:(

So for now let the music play on:)

And Boris Johnson is all for it?!:doh

not sure if that works well in the UK. the phone line is 50v DC when not in use, with a current of around 5mA I think, but that rises to about 25mA when a call is being made. I can't remember the current when its ringing, but its 75V and it fricking stings I can tell you that :(

I remember Corporal Jones (Dad's Army) the sketch when the phone wires were damaged, and Jones sitting on the wires when they made a call...

But we do not have to be doomed, how about rebelling against this stupid load of Pratt's we call a government, I ask you, votes for criminals in nick, it is a joke, but I tell you now this Pratt Cameron has not got the balls to stand up to them, he will cave in and the scum will get the ability to vote, Rick

well those old field telephones would be even worse - I think they've been used as instruments of torture even! :(

That is our problem we just lay back and take it, or I should say you, cos I do not and never will, I will not be dictated to by any one, and I think it is about time the people of England started to do the same, Rick

They reckon in a major incident most cities would lose most of their standard mobile coverage in a very short time (cant recall exact figures at this time of night :D ) Thats why only the very unwise have reliance on mobiles in their emergency and business continuity plans, have a bag of change and a little black book.

Theres loads of anecdotal evidence and accounts after Manchester and London to name just 2 where phone boxes kept going strong, plus BT bring in their emergency kit :thumb2

If anyone gets the chance to via local retail or other organizations, go to an Operation Argus presentation. The local counter terrorism bods do it. Very good :thumb2

You know what Dave, you could run a training day on this subject. Oh you did:lol

the trouble with a solar storm , is it generates a magnetic field of varying intensity ( geomagnetism ) , not only can that effect radio signals , it can also by its very nature effect electrical/electronic equipment to varying intensities also , another problem is when the magnetic field collapses .... but its starting to get a bit heavy now , and ive got some studying to do for my exam

Tuesday night I was teaching a class of teenagers about propogation and how sun spots effect this. Try saying "coronal mass ejection" in front of half a dozen teens and see what happens:lol:lol:lol I took great care in pronouncing correctly but still got caos:doh
