I found a link the other day for TII snorkels, I'll try and find it again for you.

Thats an RM3 they are selling, Eclipse has one, very good motors.

Aussies call everthing differant names normally, the Patrol is still called Nissan Patrol over there, but the Ford Maverick is Fords version of Nissan Patrol. A Ford Escape is the new shape Maverick, and finally they don't seem to have many Terranos, they are all called Mistrals.

RM3s use the same basic body as the original Terrano (1) and the stateside Pathfinder.

hi cosmic, i posted a topic on this a couple of weeks ago.

i'm looking for a snorkel too and at a reasonable price but not having much success so if you find a company let me know. i'm also considering modifying a landrover snorkel. the only major problem will be fixing the snorkel to the A-pillar. i'm going to fit a roof rack soon and put some spot lights on too so i'm hoping that i can get a fixing point on the roof rack.

The R3M is from what I have found a formidable 4x4, very reliable, very tough, not the quickest thing around but I love it, was thinking of trading mine in recently for a Landrover because they are easier to MOD but after taking it to Abingdon a couple of weeks back I think I will be keeping it now, nice looking snorkle on that, I have emailed them to try and find out what make it is as I cant find one for mine, looking at making a home made one.

Not having much luck with this :? Is there any other snorkel that can be adapted to fit the T2??

poor ol terras seem to be forgotten heroes 4x4 world not many people do goodies for them which shame as in my humble opinion much better/nicer than disco

There are some off the shelf snorkels for the T2 available, notably the pre ABS eqipped cars.

For later ABS cars there doesn't seem to be one available, but read this thread:

There is an option of using the snorkel from a certain model of the D22 pick up, needs some modifications to both bodywork & air filter can, but can be done.

Got to remember that a snorkel needs all joints sealing to ensure they are waterproof, the axle & gearbox breathers need extending, and ideally the ECU needs moving to a position higher in the vehicle, it is behind the centre console on top of the transmission tunnel as standard.
