If we are talking loads of water, in the engine compartment, what happens to the poor old starter motor and the alternator when they are submerged, I hope we are only talking fresh water.
What about electric fans if fitted?
Is there a plug in the bottom of the bell housing to prevent water getting to the clutch plate, I remember my Dad's LR had a small plug screwed into a plate ready for removal and placing in the housing. Never used it though.
Also don't forget that the breather for the rear diff may need extending as it is only at floor level, the gear box and transfer box, maybe the front diff? are linked to a breather that is on the driver's side bulkhead under the bonnet.
