small or big issue????

Gents, I have a small issue with my T2 which seems to rear it's ugly head at various times. When driving along as normal the car suddenly and for no apparent reason goes in to some form of limp mode. I can still rev up to 3k and above however when I looked at the boost gauge it will not go above 8psi when it's normally any where between 12 and 15. Di you think my Maf is on the way out or is it something more sinister.

Have you tried reading codes to see if there are any logged?

If it happens when engine gets warm could it be the cps starting to breakdown?

Do the paper clip test as maff wont bring up ecu light but can still store a code but def sounds like maf issue

unplug the maf, go for a drive see if its the same.

Won't go anywhere on a Bosch without the MAF plugged in, will idle but wont rev, tried and tested :thumbs

IF you have modded/changed the exhaust and or air filter to improve gas flow, there is a good chance it may be registering the increased airflow as turbo over boost...
