Hi guys.. Took my nephew for his first days beating today .. 9yrs old and into the great out doors, he loved it!! But on the journey home with 5 dogs and 3 other passengers in the motor..( Smells and misty windows), he put the read window down.. It took us 10 mins to get it back up, 1st it didn't move then when it did very slow!! Any easy solutions?? Bit of lube/wd40?? Cheers rob ps had the terrano off road quite a bit lately and an struggling to get it stuck!!!! Any ideas? 😜😜

Both my fronts are the same, worse now due to mud and sand

Wd40, flood them

Probably better ways, perhaps veg oil as that nukes most stuff, like Tarmac in my experience :D

I spray silicone into the window channels every now & then & it seems to help quite a bit but next time i've got the door trims off i'm going to spray the lover parts of the channels to

Yep, that works for me too.:thumb2

Just check that the rubbers in the frames haven't twisted.

Mine were like this. I gave the glass a thorough clean, and then a polish with furniture polish.

It seems to have helped (for the time-being) and was simple and cheap to do. It may not work on yours, of course, but it may be worth a try?

Alan

What Lover parts are they then, just make sure it don't cause a rash :augie:augie

When my daughter had her door window smashed a while back (Grrrrrrr)
I ended up taking the rubber channel out of the top of the door, it's easy to do and I was amazed how much crap lives in there, now cleaned, that window winds up much smoother.

take the window mech out clean up the cable runs. some one on here took their motors off sprayed them and cleaned up the contacts sorted it for them.

iv had a couple of mechanisms fails and cables jamming up in the winding gear due to a small bit of plastic breaking which holds the cable tight.

Window
