OK peeps I am going on Sunday 28th with the intention of using my new 10 legged horse (ground anchor) I know exactly where I am going to get stuck and the owner of the site will be watching, anyone local enough is welcome to join me for an epic event, Rick

I am all set to go, anyone going to meet me there, I have a very sexy winch bitch, Rick:D

I wish, but as you said in my post, I think it's a bit too far for a pay and play. Shame we are so far apart, would be good to have 2 Patrols on site.

I'm still planning to go to Tixover though and unlike yourself I hope i dont get stuck :lol

Make a weekend of it..

Mini Rick meet.

I have new rear springs, lifted to what is said original speck 550 center of hub to metal wing, much better than the first lot I got, they weigh in at 7Kg as opposed to 6Kg for originals and supposedly 20% heavier, looking forward to Sunday in more ways than one :naughty, Rick

It's a 3 hour drive each way but i'm itching for some action :(

If you don't go down you can fire round my way and head up to Tixover. Either drive too or park at mine and drive up in the Patrol. Could even do some lanes on the way up. :sly

All fit to go, hope someone can join us, if not will get as many pics and vids as we can, Rick

Official No from me :(

One hell of a trek and got other local plans now

Soon Rick, Soon, I meant what I said when we were away :thumb2

No worries Zac, there will be other times and hopefully you will be able to see what we get up to via pics and vids, Rick

Had not not noticed, Rick:)

You should have mate!!!! Look at all the knowledge you would have imparted via all those posts and the money you have probably saved people!!!! The people you have entertained with your Slindon & Picadilly Woods action and not to mention the shopfitting threads.

Keep it going Rick it's all ace, can't wait to come down in the "camp van" as Paultrol would call it, I can sleep where I park now mate so would love to make the trek down and see if we could even get a few lanes organised, Paultrol should be up for it as I believe you live very close and I'm sure Zippy is around those parts.

If I'm honest I want to make up for lost time and if you wanted me to try and organise something for the next couple of weeks or so I wouldn't mind getting out with some new faces and leading a group of us?

Whose up for it? :nenau

15,000 post is an awesome tally for any forum Rick.
Well done Sir.
In fact I don’t think I’ve seen a higher count.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge over the time I’ve been with this collective,
I’m interested to find out more about the shoplifting side of things though!

Davey

Have you been drinking sir?

:freak3:

I messed up

Yep big time, got things wrong, was not Safari today but Valley, so having got there was not going to wast it, so after a little play decided the time had come to do a realistic test, put the anchor at the top of a fair hill and drove in 5 pins (only five as ground was quite good) ran motor to the bottom and attached the winch rope, started winch and found as the motor started to rise up the incline that the winch was struggling, so stopped and inserted a block to double the pull, checked the anchor, not moved at all, continued winching, still a hard pull as we got to the steeper part of the climb, this is the anchor at the end of the pull

Starting the climb, this is all purely winch no wheel drive at all

Near to finish, I have to say I am very well pleased, removing the stakes was no problem, I have some dash cam which once I have loaded it will put up a link, so in all a disappointing day as not Safari but nonetheless proved the anchor so yes I am a happy bunny and really looking forward to Slindon Safari on the 12th May, Rick
