Had to do the last one of the year, turned out to be absolutely cracking, pulled a couple of guys out on first arrival, one of them standing on the roof with a rope in his hand in impossibly deep water, he came out with a simple pull, sadly no dashcam footage as it had not fired up, it does this sometimes, just turn it off then on again and all is well.

Then I found some sticky stuff, the front wheels were were the back wheels are and could not climb up, the time is one hour advance

3rd winch, bellied out and nothing to winch to so out comes the ground anchor, these are stills from dash cam as far to busy to be faffing with cameras

Marshal turned up to watch, we met earlier and he knew me from old that I am self sufficient, now to extract the pins, I have a crane on the front for this purpose but in this case was not needed, they came out easy, hope you enjoyed it certainly did, Rick

Looks like a fun day out for you Rick. I find it incredible that your Patrol will do all these off road places and then happily drive home without any problems at all. Even when we went to the meet up weekend in Wales back in 2018 and those were some rough tracks up in the woods and your Patrol drove admirably and then towed the caravan home several hundred miles without missing a beat.
I do miss my Terranos and the Mav but I know I’m better off without them.

Yes Jim, best motor I have ever owned, does everything I ask of it and more, built in 1997 it is a true go anywhere motor, happy new year to you and yours Jim and anyone else looking in, Rick
