Ok shocks are coming soon roughly £40 a shock - I should have delivery of them second week in March (as soon as I'm back from Mac Challenge).

Couple of questions would people like boots with them? and if so what colour?

Advantages of boots they keep dirt and grit off the piston rod and can cut down on wear - though the shocks are of course fully sealed so shouldn't really be needed.

Disadvantage - whilst keeping dirt out they also tend to keep any moisture in so can promote corrosion in the long run - pays your money and takes your choice as they say.

I'll start a poll to see what people think - other colours available can add tem to the poll if people like.

This is to guage general interest I am only going to order them in one colour if at all - you're not committing yourself to buy, though if you have no intention of ver buying any then might be best not to vote so as not to upset the numbers please.

Also stainless steel over braided brake lines. These will be £46.50 a set of 3. Can do extra long rear one for people with longer than standard rear shocks (or who think they will get some later).

and stainless steel over braided clutch line - throw away the solid lines and the damper that rust and lets you down and replace with a stainless steel overbraided flexible line - price tbc.

when you say shocks , thats dampers right ?

so what are they, standard or uprated if so how uprated ??
are standard length or shorter with spacers attached ?

what about cloth boots to let them breath but keep the dirt out, like motocross shocks / dampers

got any pictures ?

I understand the pro's & con's of damper boots but I feel if you give them a good clean & dry on the inside a couple of times a year I think you could cut down the chance of corrosion:rolleyes:plus in the lond run I think that they would help the piston from getting marked due to mud etc.
So i've voted yes & in red:lol

so what are they, standard or uprated if so how uprated ?? - difficult to say precisely
are standard length or shorter with spacers attached ? - lengths as I've stated no spacers involveded (not that you could space the rears anyway)

what about cloth boots to let them breath but keep the dirt out, like motocross shocks / dampers - if you want some you'll have to source em

got any pictures ? - no not yet - they're shocks/dampers and they are white, whats to see

Getting wound up by this silly thing of mesage too short - when I've typed all the above.

£40 a corner how does that compare with oem, mind rings a bell that some procomps
at an auction were going 30 -40 each 3 years ago.

i think i paid around £200 all in for shocks, springs and boots and they are the 2inch lift ones from pro comp but they have gone bust now

I bet if you get a price from a Nissan main dealer, it'll take your breath away. I bought a set of 4 for an Isuzu Trooper a couple of years back from Milners - about £40 a corner delivered. From Isuzu, they were £150 each for what was probably the same shocker!!!!

Cheers
Andrew

As you say procomp have gone bust anyway and for a while the club was getting discont but this stopped later on.

Procomps were also £40 a corner and I think my springs are cheaper than theirs and I also do them in 3 types.

SWB +2" lift kit with new shocks will be £217

SWB +2" +20% lift kit with shocks will be £226

LWB +2" +20% lift kit with shocks will be £235

I think they compare well to the old procomp prices and this is tried and tested stuff specced by someone actually using them not a generic kit.

Anyway unless there a whole load of new votes in the next hour or so looks like I'll be ordering red boots - tbh they won't be that visible anyway and I think red is a nice obvious colour without the in your face of ay yellow or orange.

if only i had waited:doh
bought a pair of gas shocks last week from milners for the front as one was leaking oil and mot is due on truck.
never mind ive still got the rears to do and i'm sure i could flog these ones on flea bay.

ok but are yours standard length or standard + 2" to go with the longer +2"springs.

Extreme please read threads - this is the last time I am answering this question - you asked it only a few posts up and I answered it there - and in another thread etc etc etc

You can have either but only the +2" Std rate springs need +2" shocks, the +2" +20% springs are the same length as std springs so don't need (or want) longer shocks.

If +2" shocks are fitted with +2" +20% springs they may very well fall out on articulation.

hi Terranosaurus

um ok so what are Shock boots then, before i pic a colour...:)
