Just done my rear brake shoes on 3.0 litre 03 plate. Cant say I enjoyed the experience as I had a game refitting the new ones back on without it all exploding in my face everytime I tried to fit the last spring in place. worked out that there is a nack to it which is to have six hands and use your feet as well to hold everything in place!
Still job done I retightened handbrake cable to six notches and tried the wheels. Horror!! The offside was stuck solid had a gander underneath and saw that the handbrake cable was not releasing on offside it was seized!
So off with the brakes and on with new cable once I got one from local motorfactors. Ah well practise makes perfect!
Anyway reason for post is now when I drive at about 48 to 55 mph I have a bad vibration from the front comming through the steering.
I have checked front bearings and hubs etc for play and these are OK.
Tyre pressures are as per door pillar sticker ie 26psi front and 29psi rear but the front tyres look almost flat at this pressure. They are Pirelli Scorpions.
I ve also had tracking done.
This vibration has only started since I did the rear brakes could this be the cause?
The shoes are new and still quite tight in the drums so was wondering if this could cause any kind of vibration.
Your thoughts on this cunumdrum would be much appreciated

Yep balancing did cross my mind but why suddenly now after doing back brakes? Just a coincidence or is there something else going on?

maybe you lost a little lead lump . only needs one to fall off.

Could be,, I may even have swaped wheels around when I checked bearing/hubs. so for cost will go get wheels balanced and see if it makes difference
Ta for input
