service light?

hello to all i have owned a 05 terrano for 5 months and clocked up 6000 miles since the last sevice according to handbook from main dealer i was wondering should a service lght appear on dash in forming me its due a reccomended service or not as the book states a sevice every 6000miles ?

Don't know about the 05 Terrano but earlier models don't have a light showing up on the dash telling you a service is due.

JFR - nah, you dont get a service light flashing on the dash mate... which is good - cause I service my own!!! :thumb2

mostly change of oil and filters, if you are doing it yourself and the vehicle is new to you, then you could take off the wheels and check the brake pads, regards bri

Service light will come on at 6 months as well as 6000

hello might think this sounds stupid ,but the sump drain plug is it located at the back of the engine just in front of the gearbox crossbar member , i have also bought mobil super fe 5w 30 engine oil is this okayand finaly i bought the oil fliter of e bay it states on the box london taxi skyline terrano ,vaneete ,urvan but no engine model r 20
as you have seviced your 05 terrano you advice would be much appreciated

london taxis use the nissan 2.7 td engine ( but without turbo )
