If I was given a route I'd happily lead a group again with confidence :) if there's enough interest we may have to run 2 groups

The Plain is my old stomping ground.
I'll have up to date routes and can lead a group as before on the Clubs last trip down obviously.
Can arrange some camping in the area to.
Zak, I can provide you with all the GPX info you need.

Just throwing this in....I can arrange for a similar thing to happen in Devon .....

Wild camping (fires allowed) on an inland farm wooded site.
Or
Camping on a coastal farm site. (Fire pits allowed)
(Both will accept Rick & Maggies tin tent).

There can be some laning to.:naughty

Wow that definitely sounds like a plan... Salisbury plane is outstanding

I'm up for this. I would love to see Devon, Davey it sounds like you are sorted in that area :thumb2

I'm also up for the plains, fingers crossed for Big Red.

Banshee bring both trucks :)

We got dates?
Can't promise but could drop by one evening 😁

I'm up for Salisbury plain been a long time since the Trol has wallowed in Salisbury mud. But can't do 22-23 September (Adventure and Overland show).

Are they still ripping people off for camping there? Or can you camp for just the one night without having to pay for two?

I'm going up probably Thursday night and caravanning it.
It's going to be £80 but that's for me ,wife and 3 kids. If me oldest comes it's £30 more.
They stopped the one night camping because people were paying for one night and stopping for two or more.
I think if you take in the lectures it's well worth it. We took 8 lectures last year.

Day tickets £15.
But for me £15 X two people X two days entry =£60
So £20 for weekend camping for 5/6 people , not bad.
Children 16 and under free.

They are only offering a 3 day camping permit on the website.
Cost for 3 nights plus admission to both days is £80 for two adults.
Was hoping to get to this but depends on if re decorating sucks away all my cash:eek:
