you could put a piece of ply infront of rad for additional heat

but would be better to have the system running properly

Carrot puree anyone ?

on the merc we did a carrot test guess the same can be done here

raw carrot into the path of the fan if ti stops the fan no probs if it dont then clutch gone in fan

Did the carrot test on mine with engine warmed up :doh.
Might try it again with cool engine sometime after I've cleaned all the splattered carrot out of the engine bay.
Mrs had a laugh at my "orange" complexion
Heater gets warm OK but temp gauge never rises more than about a sixth of scale.

mine never rose above the 1/4 mark even in traffic

depends how warm the engine was if it was just a little warm or running temp it should have stoped i think the fan only come in when the heat is too high and it cuts the fan in

Ok everyone thanks...

ive got a new stat so will fit tommorow..as temp not coming of cold ....

does anyone know how to check the timing of the injector pump and to test the correct setting for the turbo?
