Cheers, thats where it normally sits on mine.... but it was only half way up that far.

Well the good news it, it is the wife's birthday, and I took her out for a meal in Faversham, so the car had a nice run down the motorways.

I had a chance to give her a bit of a blow out, and as I was going up Detling Hill, it suddenly climbed up to the normal position, and stayed there. On the way back, it was back to normal, so I am guessing that there must have been an air lock in top heater pipe. Strange thing is, the water level has not dropped...

Yeah maybe you had an airlock and it's cleared, I hear these systems are self bleeding, that's why I said try running with rad cap off

It wasn't just the heating, it was also the radiator was not even getting warm... but I guess this was a red hearing, and it was just so cold, it was not warming up enough to get the rad hot.

I never had any problems bleeding it the other times, which have includes when I last changed the thermostat, changed the pump, and changed the turbo, but this time it obviously decided to have a sense of humour. I will keep an eye on it, but thanks for the input.

Tell it you'll trade it in for a LR if it doesn't behave:lol seemed to work with my last T2 but I did trade it in for a LR in the end what a mistake that was:doh:doh:doh

I'll save that for when things go really bad... I don't want her calling my bluff...:lol:lol
