A little info for you all, There has been a rubber shortage for around 5 /6 yrs as I did a stint on Michelin at Stoke and can confirm a few things, Firstly, Michelin have 2 depots that are constantly supplying ATS (Michelin owns ATS) Stoke and Basildon, and also they own Kleber and BFG, they bring tyres in to stoke from Slovenia and Slovakia and Czech mainly via east european transports firms, Now Stoke is just a warehousing facility employing around 500 people, in the 80s they had a manufacturing plant there and employed around 26000 people. Uk border control are constantly looking at the Michelin as its so easy to hide in the middle of the tractor tyres. BFG 4X4 tyres come in the same way via eastern europe as its a fix for taxation laws US TO UK My opinion is that roll on the revolution so we can be rid of the EU and the foreigners and maybe life will be so much more pleasent, but somehow I am grabbing for the pipe and dreaming me thinks :lol :lol :lol Oh and I would never buy a tyre from ATS as the mark up is at least twice as much as your local tyre dealer
