Morning all. My offside bumper bracket has rotted through to the extent that the bumper is starting to sag (and the nearside one isn't far behind). Can anyone tell me if these brackets are replaceable (I don't want to attempt taking the bumper off yet, that would destroy the bracket completely, putting the car off the road), and if so where I could get a pair?
Thanks guys.

Hopefully this is a better image!!

Should have added, this is the front bumper, and the car is a 1994 pre-intercooler T2. What I would like to know is if the brackets are screwed on and if I can buy them (if they're welded I'm stuffed, as I don't know any welders here in Spain, and even if I did I don't speak Spanish!) Wondered if any of you guys who have removed their bumpers for offroading have got a couple lying around their garage!

The bumper reinforcement is all one piece.Your picture is quite typical of t2 of that age unfortunatley, will need to remove complete bumper quite easy only 4 bolts and try and get it repaired.

english mobile mechanics in marbella no good then ?

As "cncfabs" said its only 4 17mm bolts, 2 each side.
If you haven't or it hasn't been removed before ? it may have clip's or small bolt's holding it to the wing.
If it's the bumper then just get a new bumper. (just the metal skeliton behind the plastic bumper it's self)
If it's the chassis then it would have to be welded.

PPS They once actually asked this club for advice and we even appeared in the credits!!

Had a look at Jock's website, when I saw the Bentley, Aston. Mercs and Beemers in the garage, I thought, they'll just laugh at me (or start planning their next round the world cruise!)

It's raining in Spain Briggie! First for a couple of months though, and "The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain" is a load of old tosh - we're at the top of a mountain & we get it first.
