Roof spots on

Got the rails sorted today and had to check the roof spots would fit:sly
Just got to fit the socket to the rail base and there will be light

How d'you fancy this in our rear view mirror?:sly

Bit of a snag there...........I dont do cleaning cars!
It'll just be dirty again tomorrow
Hurt today cause I had to clean the windows to fit the tints

how did you fit 'em to the cross bars Pete?just drilled and bolted through?

Well it took a while and a cuple of tins of Bud:thumbs
Drilled through the front edge of the rail then made a nut holder from some cable trunking. Thats so I could have the nuts inside the bar. So do the inside ones first and apply thread lock.

Cables run inside the bar and will be into a marine plug and socket on the roof rail base. So I can take it all off when needed, like for a car wash!:nenau

Hi Makeitfit you might find you'll have to move the spots back a bit to stop your dash & bonnet from getting lit up when you switch the lights on:augieI've got a sunstrip over the top of my front screen so that blocks 95% of the light from the dash but it lights up the wipers & the washers great:lol

Wondered about that and have some BLACK vinyl to run at top of screen if it's a problem.
I fancied a sun visor but didnt like cost:doh
Will see how it is tomorrow.

like the de-chromed/blacked front grill and light surrounds! with the mirrors gives a stealth look atleast
until instanst daylight erupts on the roof line?

nice aint they ....... i have a set in mint condition with 31 10.5 15's on for sale
they have about an inch more offset than petes ones though.... so they stick out an inch more

I only was buying the tyres really but did a deal for the wheels too:thumbs
