I just hope the OP is one turd that's on the receiving end of a good flush.
What a short sighted pratt.

important point

the point i was trying to make , is that the original post is visible to all visitors ,if you sign out and then visit the " home page " .... the original post is viewable to all visitors.... it doesnt exactly instill the visitor or any potential members with confidence on joining our great community..... surely non members should not be allowed to post , or if they do , then any post should be vetted .

just my view folks ,it is actually harmfull to the community as it dissuades people from joining .

Just had a read of this..
Bat have you had a look @ his ip address? writes the same way as o old member from afew years back..

Can we delete this thread, not good for PR. :nenau

It is winding up too many members, we all know what the club is about and continue to enjoy it.

Was this the reason why originally we didn't allow people to post unless they were paid up members? :doh

He could be from another 4x4 site, good luck to him :augie

agree 100% :thumb2

To any new members or folk thinking of joining, the technical downloads alone are a bargain at £10... let alone the advise that comes with them.
I believe I will need to renew soon, most definitely will do!!! goes without saying! :thumbs

And as far as other forums go, I am an administrator on another 4x4 site (not the big one ;) ) and I cannot see why any of the 300 or so members would want to leave such a comment. I know for a fact non of our lot would write a comment like that! We have however had abusive out-bursts from random and / or new members... they are clearly sad lifeless folk (usually enviro-mad anti 4x4 bobble hats) with nothing better to do and usually dont hang about for long, just like this guy! :D

this thread

I think the general drift on the opinion of this person has been done.
general concensus = w@nker of the highest order

It may be wise if BAT21 considered deleting the thread and then done a closing post that cannot be added to (if this is possible) as it would be a shame that if this club got any bad press.

(head swelling time) you are all wonderful people and well worth the joining fee just for the comraderie, banter and the wealth of information.

as on other forums would it be possible to restrict access until full membership has been paid or a member has made a certain number of posts on the forum.

sorry if i am speaking out of turn

paulp

but we dont delete threads and try not to moderate too heavily . i cant see what the problem is . its obviously a wind up

any new people will see its a popular place

I did, which is why I paid my tenner, experienced advice is invaluable!
