Banshee had the primer problem, was the vent in the filler cap AIR
Try running with the filler cap off for a while

I do currently run with the fuel filler cap on really loose, so don't think it's that. Still need to tinker with the little tank valve thingy.

Don't really want to remove the fuel filter altogether as I might well be selling the truck soon in favour of a LWB or a van. I was thinking it's either a blockage in the tank or the filter primer head. Not got the time to do much with it though as sold the house and should be moving on Monday 16th.

I'd run through a load of veg oil with redex and 2 stroke oil, give it a clean out :thumb2

The lazy way out of cleaning he gunk you mention of :augie

Already on my second fuel filter and only done 1000 miles, if that. Will try the redex & 2 stroke oil, how much 2 stroke oil to a tank? I generally put 60 litres of veg in one go when it's getting low.

Well,you want atleast 10% diesel with that. And I'm quite easy with the mixtures, just a sensible splash of 2 stroke and redex :thumb2

Someone will give you exact measurements I'm sure,ball I can say is ive used a fair bit more with no issues :thumb2

350-400ml of 2 stroke oil to a tank of fuel:thumbs

I do put in 10% petrol when I have the money. I really ought to get some 2-EHN 2-ethylhexyl nitrate 99.5% to improve the cetane of the veg oil too. Will get some 2 stroke oil if you think it'll help.
