I know this has been debated many times (have looked about on the forum but cant find the answer I want) but how do I go about getting a new key for my 2002 T2 (its the all in 1 with alarm/locking on it) without the expense of going to Nissan and paying £140? It is now very worn and thin bladed and I am worried it will break soon! I have looked on various web sites including e-bay and seem to be able to get a new casing or blade part but no joy with the key as it has a transponder in it! When I take my key apart I can see the transponder in the bottom near the key blade but dont think it will come out?.... was wondering if I can get the new blade and casing on e bay and then get a new transponder from a key cutter who does this sort of thing? I do have a new key with transponder as an emergency BUT... it only works on the door lock and the alarm goes off when you open the door until you turn the ignition on..not good for earlymorning strts for my neighbours  Any ideas please?????

Try dealextreme.com, they have loads of blank keys, with and without transponders. Worth a check, anyway.

Why don't you program the spare key. Instructions in the workshops setcion work and are simple to follow. David.

hey to avoid alarm firing dont lock door with key, use the button on inside
of door, as in to lock door when you are in car.

after a few manual locking sessions, alarm is deactivated, though not ideal
as no nats, maybe no imoboliser.
