TBH replacing the chassis harness could end up a huge job for the sake of a few wires:augie(I have reshelled a few cars over the years & the wiring is always to last thing out of the old shell & 1st thing into the new shell) The quicker/cheapest option I would think is to make a new one up your self & join it into the main loom inside the motor

hee hee

my little pony indeed
we have 3 horses thats why i need this car fixed
i intend to fit new tow bar electrisc on rear bumper once rear lights are sorted

only took me about 10 mins to take it out once i found out the plugs were there

will hve to try phoning some breakers tomorrow or try my wiring skills and make a new one with wire from halfords and my fingers crossed
i will try and strip it down and see how hrd it really is in the morning

cheers
Fraz

take your time, use the old one as a pattern..

LABLE each end too

ill have a look tomorrow to see how close mine is to yours.... got to say not looking promising from what i can see but will gladly have a look

are there any points that look week/failed on what you have

my move would be to go over the loom from on end to the other and cut and join in new wires where needed and just strap the new wires to it . leave the old dead wires in there...... otherwise you will just end up in a mess

i guess you could do a dry test of the car before you re fit

try

cheers i will try but would prefer to replace if poss coz im not that good with electrical connections could i just twist the wires together and solder the joints im not bad at soldering.

yes that's about it, you will probably loose most if the connections if you bypass them... once you have done replacing damaged areas twisting and soldering then you just need to insulate.
if several wires are damaged in the same run keep the repairers an inch or so apart

then you can wrap it in new insulation tape once tested

dont bother with different colored wires etc and maplins will be cheaper than halfords etc for parts
