As you say it makes sense as it without doubt keeps strength in the structure if not makes it better than factory. The sad thing is that I can’t imagine many people choosing to repair so many Terranos will go to the breakers yard.

Sadly i tend to agree with you, although a good pair of hands, a grinder, a drill should get this kind of repair done over a weekend. Those plates are roughly 125-150 pounds.

cheers

That aint such a bad price but unless as you suggest you can do it yourself then any garage will charge far more than the truck is worth in labour.
When my trucks have given me a big bill I have always looked at it as being the same as buying another truck but I have the advantage of knowing the history of this one.
Just imagine a world without Terranos :eek: not even enough Patrols to go around is there:doh.

i will confess that upon discovering the rot on one of my trucks, i just welded it up then had the trucks seating capacity changed to a two seater....so technically i now drive a V8 sports car with a large boot... build thread coming soon!!!

one of my trucks went through the process described in the link but I'd already put a lot of time and effort into it so i wasn't about to scrap it, in fact it felt rewarding i saved her from the scrap man....

Patrols....who needs em:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Could you even class it as a mid engine too, that makes it a Ferari :lol

Yeah I know what you mean about going so far that you just have to carry on.
