Hi guys, I know we've covered this loads of times before but wanting to get hold of diff oil tomorrow to get it changed as I suspect it will be contaminated.

The bloke at the garage told me that when he bought the oil for my other truck it was £65 for 5 litres of the stuff which Millers Oil brand. Is this correct?

Mine has the cast diff, the older type. How much do I need and what's the correct spec of the lsd oil.

Cheers

yep as Alex posted Comma is a good buy, about 3.5 ltr if I remember correctly about £5 ltr, Rick

but having said that pull the level plug and dip your finger in, if it is clean looking oil then leave well alone, if milky it is water contaminated so change it and check the breather, if clean wait till you get it on the road and see what happens on wet roundabouts, Rick

Cast iron rear diff takes 2.8 litres of Coma LSD oil, the last I bought was around £5.00 a litre.

It might come out grey and gloopy, contaminated with friction material, nothing like the golden colour of the new oil.
This is quite normal, if it's been in a while lol. :thumb2
