Radio crackling

Hi Guys

My radio as lots of interference think its a earth problem anybody know best place to start looking, it’s been ok for 5 year just started, when you do anything with electrics i.e. wipers on crackling, fan on very bad, press brake pedal click noise. ok when all power to equipment off

You could try removing the earth wire from the original plug and putting a thicker one in its place and make sure it has a good earth point.

same probs as mine 2 radios and 1 ariel later still got prob, noise comes in about 60 radio fades, ok when stopped worse when i go past dounrey or sellafield mmm wonder why:thumbs

To do with the frequency's generated by the forward movement.

You need to get a radio amplifier & that should solve the problem including a extra earth :thumbs

Sounds like your amp in the base of your ariel is on it's way out, I got one that sticks onto the inside of the windscreen, works for me..
