Rad weld or no for matrix?

Well worth doing if you have the time before your proper repair as when it goes properly it will be hot foot sauna time and you won't be going many miles further.

I'll get work tomorrow keeping an eye on the coolant and we have enginners that come in to service our vehicles and Im sure they can "bodge" this for me for now as yep I do hate the idea of rad weld etc - scares me more than my leak lol.

For now, just link the matrix hoses with a piece of 15mm copper tube.
It will be cold, but dry...

are these pipes easy to locate? as hate the idea of disconnecting the wrong ones lol

Well at work today I took the pipes off and connected then via some 15mm copper pipe (too be honest I think 15mm is a bit too small a diameter but tightened then on real good).
Still getting drips from the matrix but it must be residue as the coolant hasn't moved on my 16 mile journey home, also the aircon still seems to clear the windscreen.
Also my new matrix came today just gotta fit it at the weekend.
