Did a bit more on the front today with my big brother grinder I've had boxed new for a good few months. Makes gutting the bigger stuff much easier.
Removed the front cross member with the intention of patching a few bits that are rusted. But it's all muilti layered. So I'm going to make a new one out of box.
Also just bought my first toy for the trol, a nice warn 8274 winch with bow1 motor. mmmm :naughty
Spinna popped over to the shed today to pick up some bumper mounts I had spare. Afterwards I got on with making the new body crossmember out of 50mm box.
Fair play you don't mess about. That looks a nice bit of fab work and it was nice to meet you in person. Thanks again and hope we can do some laning soon.
jeez what engines are in those trucks!!!! sound bloody awesome :naughty theres a guy selling a trol not far from me , they certainly have theyre uses! :thumb2, nice work so far fez! gonna follow this build project lol
Ha, Thanks. Many different engines. This is a 4.2 diesel, Non turbo. Plan on putting a turbo on it once I finished the roll cage/body mods.
I've welded up all the left side, Needs a paint and will profile the edge depending on how I run the challenge wing sliders. I start the other side this week! Had family down this weekend so a small break from it.
I'm on a US site & over there they get a straight 6 4.5(could be bigger) SOHC or DOHC then the guy's are sticking big turbo's on for fun what makes me laugh is they are complaining about petrol being 3.5-4 dollars a gallon:doh
Took my better camera down today, Finished off cutting the right side sill off after getting more cutting discs. Left middle body mount will need re-doing, Right side where the footwell meets the sill also needs a small patch but it's right on the side and a pain in the ass to get too with the disc cutter. These are the easy bits, The back end is more rotten.

Sadly I slipped while poking rust and cut my thumb, so went home early.
