Looking and sounding very exciting. Are you going to fit polly bushes and a body lift at the same time

cheers

poly bushes I have loads of :naughty think the only ones that aren't poly bushes are the upper wishbone ones. No lift kit tho was just gonna weld it straight to the chassis/body mounts. waiting for some 6mm + plate to beef up the mounts.

do still have this problem to get round tho, its the x member the front diff sits on, one bush is fine the other is dodgy looking

do have a feista bush & a 406 engine mount that may fit but haven't tried yet

For future reference Hamerite will work perfectly well for callipers on all but rally cars :D
I did mine three years back and they're still shiny red :clap

Have you done the hoops yourself ? I'm just about to start the cage on the Black Pearl,so any tips would be great :thumbs

so today I took the front diff x member & top wishbones round to the wee ford specialist today to get the old bushes pushed out & the new ones pushed in.

got a feista axle bush for the xmember since I cannot find one anywhere (even both main stealers!) & if not then it'll be a hunt for something else :bow

I also got 12 pack paint brushes, a magnetic led telescopic magnet, 3 roles of insulating tape, 6 bag off holohoops & twin pack of choc chip cookies from in store for just over a fiver :thumb2

Got a feista rear axle bush to fit the front diff xmember just need to keep an eye on it to see how it holds up

need to take one of my calipers to west scotland enginnering to get the bleed nipple out & retapped, still waiting on brake line coming& waiting on upper wishbones to come back from getting new bushes put in

What's the small red triangle shaped things, I recognise them but can't place them. Looking good tho.

They're part of the torsion bar set up :thumb2 can't remember exactly where atm tho

put in a couple of hrs after college 2day & got the backing plates painted & the rest of the body mount brackets made up as well as stripped the bearings out the hubs so I can get them painted. I don't think those bearings have ever been changed tho :( got new ones anyho

Just a wee update had loads going on lately with college & just life in general

made myself some dislocation cones, welds r messy cos i had no gas & i can't get in at them to tidy them, need to get a few more things & do some more painting, still got hoops to assemble & so on so forth.......no where near done :doh

also have to go look for a new unit cos the one we got is just way to expensive for us atm :(

did scrap an A on my exam tho just a 4 more assessments & my hnc is done along with cima registation makes me a book keeper & part qualified accountant :thumb2
