I have sussed out why my front fog lights didn't work... it was the relay. Just out of curiosity I swapped the two identical small blue relays in the interior fuse box (didn't know what they were for) - Hella 12v relay 1M 4RA 007 813-03. Hey presto the front fogs work! AND the light in the dash works... So a new relay needed, it is a Wilco job or where is the best place to get this relay?

The other identical relay is for the power windows. And so on to my next repair, the n/s/r window not working. I swapped the rear switches, no change. I tested the power leads to the connector to the motor, plenty of little green men. Removed the motor just enough through the cut away in the inner door panel. Removed the four screws that hold the motor case/magnets and turned the armature by hand to see if it was seized. Lubed where it goes in the metal case. refitted and tried - bingo it works! A little slow, but I will get the can of silicone spray out tomorrow and try and lube the window runners.

I love this truck, all the repairs bar the relay don't cost a bean, only my time :clap

A free repair is always great isn't it? Especially when you use your own nous to sort it out :thumb2

Just need to get a new relay. Where the hell do you get them (don't say Nissan), having problems finding one online... :(

It's always worth checking with Nissan as sometimes you have a shock as they can be cheaper than online stores. For example I bought 2 wheel studs for my Patrol from Nissan at less than £6 where ebay wanted that price each

Told ya it needed lube. Might find the window channels need a damn good spray, could be a build up of muck :nenau

Hella, so must be a standard relay.

Plenty of breakers on our site.
Many a fusebox slung aside.
Also used in many vehicles, so any scrap yard will do.

OK so don't try Nissan, so try Ford then...:lol

Edit...
The micro relays on this site look, similar, nut you must check size and pin outs first.

I will lube them all tomorrow. I have a tame car valet man who is coming over here on Saturday, I said it will be a challenge for him :augie

Rustic - Maybe Solarman can send one with my gay side steps :naughty

Anything will do temp, 3 in 1 oil. Wd40 or silicone :thumb2

I think I've got some silicone spray, 3in1, WD40.

I assume that silicone spray would be the better option?

The silicone seems to last longer, the wd40 is really just a cleaner and temp lube in my eyes. Not sure how long the 3 in 1 would last but its thin and oily :thumb2
