A policeman was rushed to the hospital with an inflamed appendix.

The doctors operated and advised him that all was well, however,
the officer kept feeling something pulling at the hairs in his crotch.
Worried that it might mean a second surgery and the doctors hadn't
told him about it, he finally got enough energy to pull his
hospital gown up enough so he could look at what
was making him so uncomfortable.

Taped firmly across his pubic hair and private parts
were three wide strips of gaffer tape,
the kind that doesn't come off easily -- if at all.

Written on the tape in large black letters was the sentence,

"Get well soon, from the nurse in the Ford Focus you pulled over last week."

No... big day today, first visit to oncologist consultant, after 6 weeks of extensive hormone treatment to see if any of it has made any difference. Had more blood tests on monday including the PSA test, first one, since diagnosis.
I am a worrier, first broken night for a while.

Actually the joke was nearly quite appropriate, except I'm not a policeman lol. and the young nurses are very very kind:naughty
They are all wanting to look at my :augie.... (catheter)
I'm going to get done for flashing soon. lol...:lol:lol

Anyhow, we had the meeting at the Hospital and good news, my PSA levels have dropped from 12.8 to 2.8 the same as it was a couple of years ago.
Whilst not a cure, it is certainly putting a hold on it for now, the Hormone treatment and the trial hormones are working.

The hospital were expecting a slight reduction but not by that much.
So good news at this time..:thumb2

In 4 weeks the catheter comes out, and if I have full control and less urgency, and less frequency, then I will carry on with out it. Sorry girls for too much information, but it might affect a man near you...:nenau

Well it's not a cure, but it appears it has been slown down, only a new MRI or CT can then compare past and present, but the fact the treatment has so far made a big difference, in such a short time...
I still have the catheter for another 4 weeks, then if the trial removal gives back reasonable control, I may be able to do without it. Still a long time to go.

yes but the advance is more than the doctors expected, the rest came from you, keep at it mate you can beat it, my Father did TB and cancer what killed him early was an injury to his leg, only minor so thought nothing of it, but caused a thrombosis, think that is what they call a blood clot? Rick
