Just a Quickie!
The new Troll's been taking a few spins to start since I got it!
I had a few of the plugs out and the gap is mahoosive almost 2mm by eye. Managed to get to 1,2,3 & 6 and closed the gap a bit to about 1mm by eye and a make do gauge. It seems to have made it a bit better.
My Old auto data book doesn't list my Troll but most gaps seem in the region of 0.7 to 0.9mm.
I will gladly get another set of NGK BPR5E Plugs but do I need to take a few bits of the plenum and injection system off ( or is it possible with a few wobble sockets and swearing.)
It also sounds a bit tappety ( but could that be the injectors ) so will probably do it all in one go.
Just wondered who had the same issues before i get too involved:eek:

sorry what are spark plugs, this is mostly compression combustion land.

thinks you need to change your model details....

According to service manual.

TB42 plug gap is 0.8-0.9mm BP5ES.

If it's on points, gap is 0.45-0.55mm

Valve clearances inlet and exhaust 0.38mm

How lazy am I.. please no suggestions:augie

Yes still having minor starting problems and not done the tappets yet.

Just got a bargain battery from the Scrappy £15 and the truck spins like a gud un.

I still have to spin it over a few times, stop and then it starts first time.

Question; does the fuel filter on the TB42 have a non return valve in it and could this be a low fuel pressure problem when starting???:nenau
